WHAT TO EXPECT
Drifting with a feel for balance
The road is wet, the rear steps out – and this is where precision in drifting begins: throttle, steering, countersteer, all at exactly the right moment. At the Bosch Boxberg Proving Ground, drifting becomes controlled driving enjoyment.
With models such as the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE and the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro, you’ll experience what it truly means to drive sideways. You’ll feel the finely adjustable performance, the immediate responses, the power of the drivetrain – and how a clean countersteer stabilizes the car. Bit by bit, you’ll find your rhythm.
Technique in controlled drift
The training builds systematically – each exercise adds a new challenge and brings you closer to the perfect drift. You’ll learn to induce oversteer deliberately and keep the car stable. Unbraked lane changes sharpen your sense of balance and vehicle dynamics before you progress to a consistent, cleanly held 360° drift.
In Figure 8 / Omega, elements from the previous exercises merge into one fluid sequence. The drift course challenges you with shifting corners and transitions, requiring a precise sense of rhythm and control. To round things off, the AMG TRACK PACE Drift Score shows you how good your drift already is: measurable precision in angle, timing and stability. This is where your progress becomes visible – you see exactly where you stand and how quickly every moment of training pays off.
Live instruction
An instructor accompanies you and your group throughout the entire day. Inputs come at the right moment – steering cues, deliberate throttle impulses, controlled countersteering. With every repetition, the drift becomes more predictable, more stable, and more technically refined. That’s what driving passion feels like at Mercedes-AMG: not risky, but dynamically controlled.
